the meeting:
Sometime in June of 2000, Dan and Katrina met at a high school graduation party for Joel Williamson and Kris Cole. Katrina was friends with them through school, and Dan played in the Christian band Perfekt Gentlemen with at the time lead-singer, Joel.

Dan and Katrina spent a lot of time together over that summer, getting to know one another and becoming very close friends. Dan got to know Katrina's family very well and soon was treated as part of their family.

Eventually, Katrina got to know Dan's parents as well. Katrina began to have 1-to-1 weekly Bible studies with Dan's mom, which has developed a very close relationship between the two.

the proposal:
After almost five years of dating, Dan proposed to Katrina at the eternal flame in Gettysburg on May 6, 2005. Earlier that day, the two had fun spending time with Katrina's 6th graders which she had as a student teacher. After proposing, the two shared a nice dinner at the Dobbin House.

On May 7th, Dan and Katrina shared their engagement testimonies at the Shippensburg UBF and received prayers and blessings from the members there. On May 8th, the two went to the Penn State UBF Sunday service and shared their testimonies again. The members there blessed the two with prayers and a great home-cooked pizza feast!

the wedding:
Now, there is much planning for the wedding on July 1, 2006. It will be at the Shippensburg First Church of God at 11:00am.
