First things first
Leave the mainland behind.
Bald Head Island is accessible by boat. The passenger ferry departs from Deep Point Marina in Southport, North Carolina. Purchase tickets in advance and plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure for luggage drop-off and parking.
Once ashore
Settle into island time
Most visitors get around by golf cart, bicycle, or on foot. Check with your rental about cart access and reserve transportation early for the wedding weekend.

Old Baldy
Built in 1817, Old Baldy is North Carolina’s oldest standing lighthouse. After our chapel ceremony, we’ll gather beside this island landmark for the reception.
